OG Publishing charges fees 90% of the time. All publishing costs are the responsibility of the client. This is because, unlike big five publishers and major record labels that take on financial risk and pay authors or artists upfront, OG Publishing helps clients achieve their goals within their project budget, collaborating closely throughout the entire process, and negotiating favorable royalty rates. This approach ensures that authors or artists receive a significant portion of the royalties generated from the distribution of their works.
Yes. In the event of a client being a high-profile person, we can negotiate the waiving of publishing costs.
No, OG Publishing does not currently offer advances on royalties.
The percentage of royalties shall be determined by the project type and various other factors. For book publishing, the author may expect to receive a higher percentage of royalties, commensurate with their investment in the project. With respect to music publishing, royalty percentages will be determined through case-by-case negotiation, considering relevant variables. Our company ensures publishing rights for independent artists. In relation to film, the company will only distribute revenues on a split basis from a share pool.
